I have been surveying, researching and valuing properties around the world. However, this books presents some of my selected papers on real estate markets I surveyed mostly in Asia during 2017 to 2019.

One way to understand the market thoroughly is to survey. I conducted a lot of questionnaire surveys in Cambodia, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Vietnam and the like to participants from various international conferences who were industry experts and could represent the views of investors in their countries.

On the other hand, I conducted field surveys of housing projects in many countries. Our surveys were the most comprehensive ones in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Manila and Phnom Penh. This sort of survey would help the readers to understand local markets thoroughly.

In addition, we also conducted some special surveys to explore the changes in property prices after natural disasters such as the tsunami in Aceh, Indonesia, the Haiyan Typhoon in Tacloban, the Philippines, the great earthquake in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Allow me to thank all the respondents and people involved in the success of the surveys. Last but not least, let me thank Mr.Darr Goss, MAI, a senior appraiser from Selem, Oregon who helped edit this book.
