Services Canada to give a keynote speech
on "Techniques on the Acquisition
and Disposition of Public Land for Commercial
Uses" to our colleagues on Monday,
October 21, 2002 at 15:00 - 17:00.
Michael D. Blaschuk is a member
of the Appraisal
Institute of Canada, the Real
Estate Institute of British Columbia and the International
Association of Assessing Officers. Mr. Blaschuk is a graduate of the
Urban Land Economics program of the University of British Columbia in
Vancouver with diplomas in both Real Estate and Appraisal. He has more than 20
years experience in property sales, assessment, valuation and appraisal. Mr.
Blaschuk served as the Public Relations and Publicity Chair for the Appraisal
Institute of Canada's National Conference in 1995. He has spoken at the World
Valuation Congress, Appraisal Institute Provincial Conference and various other
venues. Mr. Blaschuk was founder and Pro-Tem president of the Prince Rupert-Northwest
Chapter of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia. A paper on Public-Private
Sector Partnering in the Appraisal Process, co-written by Mr. Blaschuk, was presented
at the Pan-Pacific Conference in Singapore in 1998 and 2002, international property
tax in Hong Kong 2002.
